1. About South Sound Home Pros

South Sound Home Pros is operated by Oly Software, a Washington State business. We operate a local home services directory that connects homeowners with WA-licensed contractors in the South Sound region. We are a directory and lead-distribution service only — we are not a contractor, do not perform any work, and do not employ any contractors listed on this site.

By using South Sound Home Pros you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a quote request. By using this service you represent that you are 18 or older.

3. For Homeowners — Quote Requests

Submitting a quote request is free. When you submit a request, your contact information (name, email, and phone if provided) is shared with matching Pro and Featured contractors in your area.

Important: By submitting a quote request you consent to be contacted directly by those contractors via email and phone. Contractors are independent businesses — not employees or agents of South Sound Home Pros — and their conduct, pricing, and quality of work are entirely their own responsibility. We do not control how or when they contact you.

To stop receiving contacts from a specific contractor, reply to their email with "UNSUBSCRIBE" or contact us at [email protected].

4. For Contractors — Listings and Subscriptions

Listing data: Contractor data is sourced from public Washington State records (Secretary of State, Department of Revenue, Department of Labor & Industries). We publish this data as a public service. We make no warranty that any listing is current, accurate, or that any license is active.

Claiming a listing: You may claim your listing by creating an account and verifying ownership. By claiming a listing you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that business.

Subscriptions — billing and auto-renewal: Pro ($39/month) and Featured ($79/month) subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically on the same calendar date each month until canceled. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your Dashboard via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro/Featured status until then. No refunds are issued for partial months.

Payment failure: If payment fails, we will retry. If retries are exhausted, your listing will revert to the Free tier.

Removal requests: To remove your listing, email [email protected] with your business name, listing URL, and proof of ownership. We will respond within 5 business days and complete removal within 10 business days.

5. Contractor Vetting Disclaimer

South Sound Home Pros does not verify, vet, background-check, or endorse any contractor. We do not confirm that any license is active or in good standing. Listing on South Sound Home Pros is not an endorsement of quality, reliability, or safety.

Before hiring any contractor we strongly recommend:

• Verifying their license directly with WA L&I
• Checking references and reviews from multiple sources
• Getting a written contract before work begins

6. Contractor Conduct

Contractors agree to: respond to leads in good faith; not misrepresent credentials; handle homeowner contact information responsibly and not use it for any purpose other than responding to the specific quote request; comply with all applicable Washington State licensing laws; and not engage in discriminatory, harassing, or fraudulent conduct.

We may remove any listing that violates these terms.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use South Sound Home Pros to: send spam or unsolicited communications; harvest data for commercial purposes; misrepresent your identity; violate any applicable law; or attempt to circumvent security measures.

8. Payment Processing

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is handled solely by Stripe — South Sound Home Pros never stores credit card data. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTRACTOR INFORMATION IS ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY WASHINGTON STATE LAW, OLY SOFTWARE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS SERVICE OR FROM ANY CONTRACTOR'S CONDUCT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO OLY SOFTWARE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

We are not responsible for the quality of work, conduct, or representations of any contractor listed on South Sound Home Pros.

10a. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Oly Software and its officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of South Sound Home Pros; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your conduct toward homeowners or other users; or (d) any dispute between you and a third party.

10b. Paid Placement Disclosure

Contractor listings are sorted by subscription tier: Featured listings appear first, followed by Pro listings, then free listings. Within each tier, listings are ordered by data quality score. Pro ($39/mo) and Featured ($79/mo) are paid tiers. This ordering is visible to all users. We do not accept one-time payments for individual listing placement.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Thurston County, Washington. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (for registered users) or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
